Massimiliano Francone was born in Lucca, Italy. He received the Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from University of Pisa, Italy, in September 2009 with thesis related on hyperspectral images. In December 2012 he received the Master's degree from the same university, implementing a real-time fully-software AeroMACS waveform for Software-Defined Radios (SDR) during the course of his thesis. The performance and the development of the algorithm has followed the requirements of a project regarding the future aeronautical communication technologies, named SANDRA, and the work has been performed for this latter. He is currently working within Large Networks and Systems Group (LANEAS) team, on SDR4ALL project as trainee. His internship tutors are Prof. Mérouane Debbah from Supélec and Prof. Marco Luise from University of Pisa.
